U.S. Internal Revenue Service

To maintain tax exempt status as a nonprofit organization under the Internal Revenue Code, it is essential to remain in compliance with the conditions and constraints accompanying that status. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) offers a wide range of resources related to compliance and filing returns. See the Charities and Nonprofits tab on the IRS home page.
