Computer User Groups

Local user groups may serve as good resources for collaboration in computer refurbishing, reuse and recycling programs. User groups were traditionally dedicated to either “IBM-based” personal computer (PC) users or Apple (Macintosh) computer users. However, most software now runs on both platforms and some groups have merged. User groups typically have the city, region or state name followed by “computer user group” in their names. An Internet search by name may be more effective than using some of the larger group sites.

Association of Personal Computer User Groups

The APCUG is a resource for member personal computer user groups in the United States. Local PC user groups may serve as good resources for collaboration in PC refurbishing, reuse and recycling programs.
