The booklet on the quality standards for durable medical equipment prepared by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services provides an overview of the standards. The final pages of this booklet are filled with resources and links that are helpful in the accreditation process. The quality standards and survey questions from one accrediting organization, the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), provides guidance about how the standards will be applied and what might be asked of the program seeking accreditation.
